Tolga Özel is a business executive in Telecom/IT/Digital domains with broad experience in
Mobile, Fixed, IT and TV Business. Solid experience account management, Program/Project
Tolga Özel currently provides Consultancy Services to MPT Myanmar. Previously, he was
Principal Consultant for Technology Domain at Pedersen & Partners Executive Search Firm
based in Istanbul, Turkey. Tolga has more than 20 years of solid experience in the Information
and Communication Technology sectors. Before entering executive search, he worked in
various management roles at major Technology companies such as Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei,
and Nortel Networks with both local and cross-border activity in the Central Asian, Southern
Europe and CIS regions.
Tolga has carried several management responsibilities in different organizations and has field
experience in Portfolio, Program and Project Management in global technology giants. He has
managed projects in geographically distributed areas with virtual teams. Professional Service
Strategies, Profitability Management, Risk Management, Outsourcing Management are other
fields of expertise. He has also experience on establishing/development and governance of
PMOs in large scale organizations.
He is the Co-Founder & former President of PMI Turkey Chapter. He is in charge of PMI Region
Mentor for Eastern Europe since January 2017. He holds PMI PfMP and PMP certificates and
alumni of PMI Leadership Institute Master Class.
Tolga holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and a Masters degree
with studies on Artificial Intelligence from the Middle East Technical University. He also
completed a corporate leadership program delivered by EMLyon Business School in France. He
speaks native Turkish and fluent English.
A pioneer person to elevate the maturity of Project Management in his organizations.Tolga
advocates the value of project management in every occasion to create awareness about the
