Ceyda Cimilli Akaydin has completed her secondary education in Çanakkale Anatolian High school and attended the faculty of law in Marmara University and then took her Llm degree by thesis about intellectual property infringements in the web and then continued her PhD in law by the thesis about distribution contracts.
She had started to work as a asst to prof in İstanbul University department of Informatics at 2001 and left her post at 2008. She is a member of Istanbul Bar Association and is the founder associate of Cimilli Akaydin Law Office in which she renders her services as a legal consultant and a lawyer in many areas including contractual law, informatics law IP and domain name disputes. She is also lecturing as a part time lecturer in Marmara University department of Informatics and is giving lectures to executives about various subjects, mainly contract management, IP and IT law and data protection legislation.
She is the founder member of IT chamber of Istanbul Bar association, the board member of Istanbul branch of Turkish Informatics Association and the member of DNS workgroup of Internet supreme board. She is married with a son.
